Vladimir Risojević

    Vladimir Risojević received the PhD degree from the University of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2014. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Banja Luka. His research interests include signal and image processing, machine learning, and computer vision. He participated in more than 20 research projects, including FP7 and H2020 projects. He authored or co-authored 3 textbooks, a chapter in a monograph and over 50 scientific papers. He participated in developing undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of signal processing, image processing and multimedia.

    Title: Open Science Practices in BEE4EXP Project
    The goal of the project „Biological Methods (Bees) for Explosive Detection“ is to develop innovative methods and technologies for landmine detection through the advancement and integration of current state of the art techniques – honeybees in combination with explosive vapour sensors and advanced imaging techniques. This project aims to develop an innovative approach, using three different techniques: training honeybees for explosive detection, polymer films as an explosive sensor, and honeybees imaging over the landmines will be integrated to provide a flexible, sensitive, and robust technology. The project is financed by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme. The consortium consists of research performing institutions from United Kingdom, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Athough the project does not have explicit open science policy, project partners strive to embrace open science principles in making publications, code, and data publicly available.
